2025 Mitsubishi Triton: Australian cab-chassis, Club Cab and manual pricing leaked

The Mitsubishi Triton lineup is soon to expand, with local pricing for the long-awaited cab/chassis, extended-cab and manual variants of the ute appearing online.

Pricing data for the five cab/chassis grades and a single ‘Club Cab’ (extended cab) Triton has been published on industry guide Redbook, taking the lineup to 13 variants.

CarExpert has contacted Mitsubishi Australia to confirm if this pricing is accurate.

Cab/chassis and Club Cab models were previously understood to be due here late in the first half of 2025.

While the entry-level grade will continue to be a 4×2 Triton GLX automatic dual-cab pickup, according to Redbook the cheapest 4×4 will be a manual dual-cab/chassis, starting from $47,240 before on-road costs. This is the only variant listed with a manual transmission.

It’s $2250 less expensive than the equivalent automatic, which starts from $49,490 before on-road costs.

Buyers who want four-wheel drive and a tub at a more affordable price will be able to buy the Triton GLX+ Club Cab for $50,340 before on-road costs, a $600 saving on the GLX dual-cab pickup, and $2950 less than the GLX+ dual-cab pickup.

The dual cab/chassis configuration will be available in GLX+, GLS and GSR trims, with the GLX-R remaining pickup-only.

According to Redbook, the cab/chassis variants miss out on the rear parking sensors, surround-view camera and rear autonomous emergency braking (AEB) systems available in pickup versions, instead getting a simple rear-view camera.

All variants of the Triton continue to be powered by a bi-turbo 2.4-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, producing 150kW of power and 470Nm of torque.

Both the manual and automatic transmissions are six-speed units. In four-wheel drive examples, the GLX and GLX+ get the Easy Select part-time system, while the GLX-R, GLS and GSR are fitted with the Super Select II full-time system.

Redbook shows the Triton cab/chassis has a payload capacity in excess of 1210kg for automatic versions and 1195kg for the manual, an increase over the 1030kg-1095kg figures for pickup variants.

The Triton GLS and GSR however continue to be available with a sub-1000kg capacity to qualify for novated leasing, with no change to their prices.

While this will be a significant expansion of the new-generation range, still missing are single-cab/chassis versions that are offered in markets like New Zealand.

Mitsubishi has continued to concurrently offer single-cab/chassis versions of the previous-generation Triton alongside the new model.
